PAACS Residency

ALMC is one of the training hospitals that have incorporated the General Surgery Program under the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS); known as the “Arusha PAACS”, currently with 10 residents. These residents do rotate in different departments i.e. Neurosurgery, Orthopedics Surgery,Anesthesia, Pediatric Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology; to ensure that they acquire basic surgical skills from each department PAACS is a non-denominational, multinational service organization offering surgical and spiritual training under well-established evangelical mission hospitals in Africa under the direction of an experienced board of certified missionary surgeons. PAACS trains African physicians to become surgeons who will cater to the high need of surgeons in Africa. Unlike other training programs; PAACS produce surgeons who not only cure the body but also the soul by sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with their patients. Moreover, PAACS is also in partnership with COSECSA which allows trainees from PAACS accredited institutions to participate in COSECSA training program and examinations, and be treated in all aspects to the same requirements as other trainees from COSECSA countries
